Laurie Smith

Laurie Smith, B.N., R.N.C., A.P.N. graduated from the University of Calgary, Canada, in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in Nursing. She received her certification as an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner from the Womens Health Care Practitioner program at Harbor-UCLA in 1989. She has been providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic health care services to women in the Reno-Sparks area for 20 years.

In 2000, she joined Dr. Naughton and has since focused on gynecology only. She thoroughly enjoys the field of gynecology and is enthusiastic about all the advances in womens health over the past few decades. She strives to keep up-to-date on current research and technologic innovations so she can provide her patients with the information needed to help them achieve and maintain optimal health. She loves to educate women of all ages in the areas of wellness and prevention and is highly skilled to diagnose and treat most gynecologic problems. By working with a group of exceptional GYN surgeons, she has the ability to refer her patients for the most appropriate surgical care.

Laurie and her husband, Gary, have two teenage daughters, Jessica and Kristen. She loves to travel and enjoys many activities such as skiing, snorkeling, hiking, gardening, reading or just relaxing on a warm, sunny beach.
