Percutaneous Nerve Stimulation (PTNS)
PTNS or Urgent PC is an office-based, minimally-invasive treatment for urinary urgency, urinary frequency and urge incontinence. A small slim needle electrode is temporarily inserted near your ankle. The needle electrode is then connected to the battery-powered stimulator. After turning on the stimulator, Paula will observe your bodyıs response to determine the ideal strength of the impulses. This treatment is well tolerated and usually involves weekly treatments for 8 12 weeks. Usually an improvement can be seen as early as 3 treatments but sometimes not until around 6 treatments. This can significantly improve urinary urge and frequency issues for patients.
