Biofeedback with electrical stimulation
The pelvic floor muscles support the bowel, bladder, and uterus: and like all muscles, they weaken with age. It is extremely important that we strengthen these muscles with pelvic floor exercises, also called Kegels. Poor pelvic floor muscle strength can lead to problems with the structures they support (i.e. urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse.)
Biofeedback with vaginal electrical stimulation can rejuvenate the pelvic floor muscles. Our seven-week program consists of first, a pelvic floor assessment, followed by 6 weekly treatment sessions. Biofeedback utilizes a vaginal sensor probe to measure the tension in the pelvic floor muscles and gives immediate feedback to better understand muscle isolation and strength. You will learn how to effectively perform the Kegel exercise and jump start your strengthening of these muscles.
